Introduction
In this book the reader will encounter five men whose backgrounds ultimately caused them to enter the ranks of male prostitution.
It is not the purpose of this discussion to present solutions, nor is it the author’s intention to either condemn or even to condone the practice of prostitution, regardless of the sex of its practitioners. Rather it is the author’s purpose to provide for the reader some insight into the backgrounds of men who become objects of sale.
Like the female, the male prostitute is a severely disturbed individual with a history of emotional deprivation dating, as a rule, from early childhood.
Much that is in these cases will shock, offend and possibly disgust many readers. But if, after the final page, the reader can feel himself aware that prostitution is a symptom of a personality disorder, that we are not dealing merely with a moral problem alone but also with problems of a psychological, sociological and spiritual nature, this book will have served its purpose.
