“Ohh, that went to the pit of my stomach.” He fastened his eyes on a tall, peroxide-blond boy who was dragging a poodle.

“But I can. Every man should fight for his woman, especially when the woman is holding the purse.”

Dirk pulled out his cigarettes and lit one without offering the pack to his companion. He had to get away, he had to.
