What do you do in a spot like that? Well, I’ve received training that does right by me in every situation. And in any emergency. Brother, I’ve been trained by the best. What my ace instructor told me to do in a situation where a guy’s got a knife coming right at you and he’s that close to you was:
“SPIT IN HIS EYE!”
Who am I to go against such expert advice? Besides, what choice did I have?
I spat in his eye.
I mean I let him have a glob right between his eyes so that the damage was thorough. Of course I didn’t continue standing there, either. I did a sort of hop-skip-and jump away and to one side of him.
He screeched a guttural screech, floundering about like a gray whale. I gave him a chop across the knife wrist and watched the fingers spread suddenly and the knife drop to the floor.
“Try to keep me from my lover, eh?” I hissed into his ear.
I wanted him to remember that phrase. It was important he think of me only as a fag looking for his queen and putting up a fight for him.
