Foreword
Phil Murphy phoned for an appointment and said he had something very important to discuss.
When he arrived at our office, manuscript in hand, he was a bit shy and reluctant to bring it right out into the open. Then he finally made his stumbling confession that he was about to “come out,” which was the far-outest thing we could have expected from one of Surrey House, Inc.’s better-selling “straight” authors.
But needless to say, the surprise manuscript was Newcomer. We wished Phil well on his new venture and listened to his songs of praise about a certain young boy who lives in his immediate neighborhood. A certain very well set up young boy that could have been the model for Tagg, the hunky young farm boy who is the Newcomer.
Kids together… growing up as best friends… what a shock it was for both of them to discover just how easy it was for them to start swinging on each other’s rigid flesh… and what an easy, snug-fitting slide it was making that next step over the line, finally becoming asshole buddies in the truest sense of the word.
No one can be quite as horny as a young teenager first discovering all the things he can do with his closest pal’s body… and the other way around, too.
Naturally, no love affair ever progressed without difficulties and the hard-up youngster, just himself past the “coming out” stage, turns into an almost constant Newcomer.
We suspect that Phil Murphy has finally found his destiny and that Surrey House, Inc. will receive fewer manuscripts under his “straight” byline in the future.
Perhaps it was a good thing that HIS 69 was ready for Phil.
