FOREWORD
We sent out the word along the highways, posting notices in a few of the bigger truck stops, that we were definitely in the market for manuscripts written by truck drivers. We had the feeling that only a man who does it regularly could write about it in the way MANHARD readers want to read about it.
They also should know something about trucking, to make their novels that much more down- and-dirty butch real.
Edward Garbo is an authentic truck driver. He pushes a big rig—we know because he had it in our parking lot—around the west coast area, and he pushes a big rig between the sheets, too.
Double Truckin’ is Ed’s story, and he has told it just as he knows it, with all the dirt and grime and sweat and explicitly profane sexuality. No other way of telling it, except exactly as it happens, could convey the sizzling sensuality of two hunky male bodies, naked and sweating, grappling together in the back of a cross-country tractor-trailer rig.
