Jagger was sitting about two feet from me, and he reached over and put his big hand on the back of my neck. It made me feel uncomfortable, but I didn’t protest, and just kept working. “Yes, sir,” Jagger continued, “fine boy. We became real good friends, just like we’re going to be.” His hand was still on the back of my neck and suddenly he pulled me forward off of the stool and onto my knees. The potatoes in my lap fell to the deck. I looked up at him, and he sat there smiling down at me.
“Why did you do that?” I asked him. He didn’t answer but put his other hand to the side of my neck and started stroking my shoulders with both hands. I started to pull away, but he tightened his grip until it hurt me.
“Mister Jagger,” I begged, “let me go, please.” It was then that I saw the long, hard bulge in the front of his tight seaman’s pants and knew what he wanted. “I’m sorry, Mister Jagger,” I said, “I got to get back to the galley; the cook’s probably looking for me.”
I tried to pull away again, but he held on and pulled me closer. He tried to hold me with one hand and unbutton his pants with the other, I knew this was my chance. I twisted hard and jumped to my feet, making a break for the door. I just got my hand on the knob when his fist crashed into the back of my neck, and I fell unconscious to the steel deck.
