Merak and I went to a view room near the gym. I punched up Instructvid 56-40. The screen came back: “For Emergency Use Only.” Then the screen locked up. We had to go through the whole clearance routine, like maybe this Instructvid was going to reveal the Q-wave secrets. I thought maybe I punched up the Instructvid for invasion by unknown aliens. I couldn’t understand why all the security.
Then the naked vidguy appeared on the screen. It was the same naked vidguy who is on all the health-and-hygiene Instructvids. He’s supposed to represent the average healthy human male. Except he doesn’t look like a normal human male. He looks like a gung-ho cadet who has taken physconditioning four times running just for fun, and he’s hung like a Denebulan stud. And he’s always completely naked, even if it’s the Instructvid on lowgrav toothbrushing.
