INTRODUCTION
Having been a practicing psychologist for many years, I’ve come across many types of mental and physical problems, deriving from as many sources as there are people.
I must admit, that I have found one phase, or area if you will, of psychological deviation that truly amazed me. It is this particular form of deviation, that I plan to explore in this volume.
Since I live and practice in a fairly large and thriving community, I didn’t have to look any further than my files, for case histories of patients that I thought would be interesting to present.
Many heterosexual men, finding themselves in the throes of a homosexual encounter, have come to me for help, or guidance. It is their stories, that I want to tell.
I plan to make no judgment on their interesting lives, merely present them in the most complete way that I know how. I know that you will find reading about their lives as interesting as I have found them to study.
I’m also convinced that you, the reader, will surely find among the pages of this volume at least one, perhaps more, patients in which you can identity. For these men are not unordinary types of individuals. They come from very middle-class, and relatively normal backgrounds.
What was it then that made them turn from a happy heterosexual to a happy homosexual? That is what I will do my best to explore and define in the following pages.
