There is a catch in his breath. Oh God, if I could just forget about the past few weeks, he thought to himself. That bus ride to Resort Beach! Gary, Stu, Sally- Oh, if I could just forget! God! God!!! Gary darling, I love you! Oh mother, what have you done to me!!!!
Ron walks toward the front of the bar and out the door.
“My name is Gary Wilson,” said the boy. He held out his hand.
Ron shook hands and gave his name as he took stock of Gary Wilson. He saw an infectious smile and a friendly, handsome face topped with curly black hair. Gary’s body was stockier than Ron’s but his waist was narrow beneath a well defined set of chest and shoulder muscles. Like Ron, he wore pale jeans, although they appeared to be a size too small. Ron found that his eyes had drifted downward to the scarcely concealed evidence of Gary’s pecker and he jerked his head up with another flush of embarrassment. He wondered if Gary was aware of the sight he presented.
“Where are you headed?” asked Gary.
“Resort Beach. I have some friends there,” Ron replied.
Gary’s eyes widened. A new intimacy crept into his voice. “So do I.” He moved closer to Ron. “I wonder if we have the same friends?”
“I don’t think so,” said Ron slowly. In truth, he had never heard Sally Kopp or her mother use Gary’s name.
“What I mean,” persisted Gary, “is that Resort Beach is such a gay, gay place. So many campy people from the city go there.”
“Campy?” Ron repeated. “Well, I don’t think you know the Kopp’s place then. They run a boarding house, not a camping ground.”
To Ron’s amazement, Gary broke into unrestrained laughter. “Now I know we don’t have the same friends!” he roared between choking outbursts of hilarity.
