Foreword
The whole campus was in an uproar. One of the school’s star basketball players, Arnie Fowler, had been suspended. The students quickly found out why: he had become a member of the college gay club. The protests began, and would continue until he was reinstated and the team again was together for the stretch drive for the title.
With these events as a backdrop, the novel delves into the behind-the-scenes activities of a top university basketball team, and the campus gay club. To Hector, basketball was all that counts. As the star and top scorer on the team, he had to eat, drink and sleep basketball.
But Arnie, his best friend and second man on the team, shocks him and snaps him out of the fantasy world of sports when Hector finds Arnie and Willie, a black member of the team, having sex in the locker room. Fearful of losing Arnie for the ream, Hector remains silent.
In the club, the members enjoy a more relaxed, easy-going life, partying, even orgying, but still engaged in a fight for campus rights’ There are many: Cecil, the quiet one, Ben and Mark, Butch, the leader, strong and determined, specializing.
