In Tom Hardy’s latest novel, Mark Johnson, a hunky young “straight” construction worker, gets an unexpected introduction to the world of S and M when he wakes up one night and finds a tough young punk in the act of robbing his house. The punk gets the upper hand and ties Mark up, forcing the construction worker to service him sexually in ways Mark has never imagined before.
This is only the beginning. The next night Mark is kidnapped and drugged, “drafted” into being a slave recruit at an S and M establishment known as The Base where young studs are trained under the influence of drugs and torture to perform on demand, acting out the fantasies of anyone who has the money to buy their well-trained asses.
Two buddies of Mark’s, a pal from work and a teenaged neighbor boy, join forces to rescue Mark and in the process establish a deep and moving bond between each other, the kind of relationship truly based on sensuality and mutuality.

Mark, a 24-year-old construction worker, has come home from the gym and is about to relieve some tension when he discovers a young punk has broken into his house. Tommy soon gets the better of Mark and makes him his slave for the night. His eyes wide as to what he’s been missing out on, Mark makes it at work the next day with Peter, the high school kid working there for the summer. But Peter knows a lot more than Mark, having been trained as a boy by his older cousin. That night, Tommy is back, this time with his benefactor, Jock. They kidnap Mark, only the abduction is witnessed by Mark’s 14-year-old neighbor, Billy, who had also seen the previous nights’ events. When Peter comes looking for Mark, he instead meets Billy. After a sizzling introduction, the two teens are off to rescue Mark, not that they have eyes for anyone else at this point!
