INTRODUCTION

BILL THORNE: Tall, muscular, dark-haired—and hung like a small stallion! (”Even the whores complained they couldn’t take Bill.”) You met him first in I WANT IT ALL (the best-selling underground novel to which ALL OR NOTHING is a sequel). Out in the dark alley behind Red’s Bar & Billiards, in Gorman, Colorado, he and twelve others gang-fucked Brad Nelson.

One brief, drunken night—but it changed the lives of two men.

Warren Miller left town that night. No one knew what had happened, but of course there was talk:

“Nope. We haven’t seen him, Bill. We figure he took off with that queer last night.”

“Why the hell would he do that?”

“Maybe he fell in love.”

“Listen, you bastard, that’s my best friend you’re talking about!”

“Well…? Maybe you had a queer best friend—without knowing, I mean.”

And then Bill, himself, who had instigated the rape. He had to stay behind, had to go on working in the tiny provincial town, remembering, each time he saw one of the other twelve, what it had been like, fucking a man who had looked like his best friend’s twin brother. Drinking himself into a stupor each night, because he couldn’t face the truth of the rumors:

“Honey, believe me,” the town whore had told him, “the idea of two guys—two men—like you and Warren… doing things to each other… Well, that’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of.”
