INTRODUCTION

Ever since Dave left, something was missing from Chuck’s life. Oh, sure, he had good old Barney, faithful buddy Barney Speas…but he couldn’t—wouldn’t—love Barney. Then Bill (Oh, so beautiful, so beautiful!) showed up… and love became part of Chuck’s world again.

In Unmarried Love, Dr. Eustace Chesser wrote: “The doctrine (Puritanism) clearly rests on unproved assumptions, for there is no evidence to show that a man who commits adultery, or a homosexual, is more likely to be a liar, a thief, or a traitor than anyone else…” Unknowingly, Chuck disproved that theory when he lied about his affair to Barney, stole his heart, then betrayed his love.
